Here's a little bit of information about the history of this building.

Our building is located in the merchant district of "New Town", Cimarron, New Mexico. It was built in 1936 and was actually one of the newer buildings at that time in new town.

The soda fountain was installed in 1937 and we still use it today to create sweet treats for all you ice cream lovers.

The oak floors are original to the building also.

Cimarron Art Gallery This location has been the home for a drugstore (perfect with the soda fountain), a clothing store, leather goods store, shoe store and a craft store. Then in 1982, Pierce & Ethel Ramsey created an art coop and called it Cimarron Art Gallery. In 1992, Jim & I purchased the business and still today, keep the tradition going for the hundreds of thousands that have come through our door. WELCOME ONE & ALL!

Hello, and thank you for stopping by to check out our website. My name is Victoria Fernandez. I was born and raised in the beautiful community of Cimarron, New Mexico. When I was 14 years old, I won a D.A.R.E. (school anti-drug program) drawing contest at school. The prize was a free banana split from the Cimarron Art Gallery. When my mom took me to get the banana split, Valerie offered me a job and I accepted.

I worked part time in the summers and during the school year until I graduated from Cimarron High School. I went off to college, for a while, but decided I really wanted to be back home. I started back at the Cimarron Art Gallery and have been here full time ever since. Now I am a partner in the business and absolutely love it, If you're ever in our area, please stop in for a visit. Thank you so much for stopping by to see us.

Val Kutz Cimarron Art Gallery

My name is Valerie Kutz. My husband and I purchased the Cimarron Art Gallery the first part of 1992 after having attendined Philmont Scout Ranch Training Center in 1990 & 1991. We moved from Southern California where we were very involved with Scouting. We loved where we lived and what we did professionally, BUT we knew in our hearts we would love this more.

After nearly 20 years of serving Scouts, Scouters, friends, neighbors and guests, we are still going strong and loving every moment of it. If you are ever in Northeastern New Mexico, God's Country, please stop in and say hello. I look forward to our meeting.
